Narrative Images

In this assignment, we tried to create stories in the micro world by shooting figurines and dolls with backgrounds from books or computer images. We needed to use our problem-solving skills to figure out how to avoid shooting the seam of the book, remove the glare from the images, create depth, and make the micro worlds as realistic as possible. The position of the figurines also made a large difference in the depth and credibility of the images.

  1. Overall, these photos were pretty good. One thing that caught my eye though, was the picture of the cowboy and the horse, the entire photo was slightly out of focus. Next time, try editing the sharpness on the picture so it is more clear.

  2. I really like all your photos. My favorite picture is the first one because it is telling a good story and you have a nice background. Next time maybe try making sure there isn't a glare in the background.

  4. I like all your photos. They create a cool scene. Next time I would try to get a background not from a computer screen or a book, but of a wall or some plants. It will make it look really nice.
